HELLO!!

Are you excited?!?  Our first book review will be presented TODAY!  Before I dig in, to post information and photos, I thought I might introduce myself just a little more….so we can be friends….

HI!  My name is Lisa and I am in love with children's books.  I also love to laugh and spend time with happy people.  I live by the moto "Live well, Laugh often, Love much!"  I am a little mormon girl who was born and raised in Salt Lake City.  I still live in the same valley, 20 miles south, in a little community called Bluffdale City.  I love it here because it's quiet, my dog can run and my horses can play.  I have been involved in elementary education for almost 20 years.  I home schooled during my girls preschool days and I ran a successful children's book club.  Recently, I taught preschool in my home.  It was an absolute joy!  After an intense surgery, I decided to relax and take it easy for a while.  Now, I'm venturing out to share my passion on the internet!

This is my family.  I treasure them most!  My husband and I have been married for 24 years.  He loves his girls, loves to hunt and has completed 5 IronMan triathlon races.  My oldest daughter is 21 and was married to her fantastic husband a year ago.  They live in Colorado as he serves in the army.  My youngest is 18 and will be leaving us for a bit this summer to help build an orphanage in Peru.  So, we do stay pretty busy around here.  We love being together!

My dog Tom.  He is brings me joy, happiness and a whole lot of laughter.  He is a 1 year old puppy with more energy than he knows what to do with.  I am a believer that animals help heal the soul.  My Tom has done more than just heal my soul, he's been one of my very best friends.  He's just part of the family and treats us all with love and adoration!  "A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." -Josh Billings

The most recent group of astounding preschool children I had the opportunity to teach and play with!  I love ALL the children I've been blessed to work with, but these little ones are my pride and joy! They taught me to laugh more, play more, worry less and love with all my heart!  I miss them like crazy!  Through teaching I've learned that all children love the same things….to play, to be loved and to learn.  It's just that simple.  That is what fuels my fire to keep sharing all I can about helping children grow and be happy!









Well, that's probably more than you cared to know (or read) about me.  However, I hope you enjoyed it enough that you will follow us and take a look at our book reviews from time to time, leave a comment or a friendly "hello" and feel inspired to spend just 15 minutes, reading and playing, with the kids you love!  Five minutes is plenty of time to make a magical memory.  A book only takes a few minutes to read and our activities are only 5 - 15 minutes long.  Take a tiny bit of time to go on a very large adventure!
